Jan loved working in a paperless environment. He was so excited about using an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil together but the hard rubber writing on glass was awkward and the pencil was difficult to control. Jan went looking for a solution and when he couldn’t find one, he created one.
Jan is the founder of the original paper-feel screen protector; Paperlike. Notetakers, artists, illustrators and calligraphers alike can write and draw on an iPad, just like they would on paper.
Six years on, and the small, ever-busy Paperlike team wanted to increase the efficiency of their retail tech stack. Cin7 was introduced to make it cheaper, faster and easier to get their products into their customers’ hands, all over the world. With it, we integrated three 3PLs to further streamline their operations.
Getting to grips with good tech
Every month, millions of sales orders flow through Cin7, using its real-time picture of inventory across systems, channels, marketplaces and regions. So Paperlike jumped on board, knowing they were in safe hands, and that they would have more time to build their business, and less time running it. With this an all-in-one inventory management system in place, Paperlike had the power to manage their entire business in one place and scale as they wanted.
Automating logistics
With their 3PL integrations, Paperlike could manage products, orders, returns and inventory between systems, saving time and increasing accuracy through automation. The first was headquartered in Hong Kong, providing global eCommerce logistics & fulfilment solutions through an extensive circular supply chain. The second, based in Munich, covered fulfilment across Europe. And finally, a third 3PL in the US handled North American orders.
By working closely with each of these 3PL partners, our specialist team meticulously planned how to synchronise and automate Paperlike’s global supply chain.
