From the Chelsea Pocket Swing to the Willesden Scooter Bag, ROKA London bags and backpacks are designed to create smiles. With bold, beautiful colours, functional, weather-resistant materials and sleek, simple designs, these bags have travelled from London to the world.
Selling in thousands of stores from the USA to Sweden and with plans for further expansion, the challenge for the team at ROKA London was to know what inventory they needed, where and when, as they grew at a pace.
Manual forecasting was time-consuming and there were plenty of opportunities for improving the efficiency of 3PL storage, stock level management and cashflow to be had by enhancing forecasting.
Optimised inventory
Early 2023, Inventory Planner by Sage was called in to ROKA London’s tech stack to shake things up. Based on a real-time data feed from Shopify, Inventory Planner could make data-backed inventory purchasing recommendations for ROKA London. It would predict future sales, expose excess stock and maximise revenue.
So that took care of D2C but what about their B2B sales? b.solutions was brought on board to deliver a purpose built integration with B2B ecommerce platform B2B Wave, sharing product and vendor data, sales history (factoring in cancellations) and inventory levels to Inventory Planner by Sage. Inventory Planner would determine how much stock needed to be in each warehouse at any given time, thanks to sales and inventory information from B2B Wave. POs would be triggered at exactly the right time to order more stock, and Inventory Planner knew as soon as the delivery was made.
